Murray Shirley 1945-2026
De Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines, le 25 mars 2026, à l’âge de 80 ans, est décédée Mme Shirley Murray, épouse de M. Guy Bourassa.
Outre son époux, elle laisse dans le deuil son fils Chad (Danielle Gauthier), ses petits-enfants, Aiden et Arianne, son frère Robert (Erika) et ses sœurs, Mabe et Anita.
Elle laisse également dans le deuil ses beaux-frères, ses belles-sœurs, ses neveux et ses nièces ainsi que d’autres parents et amis.
La famille recevra les condoléances le 25 avril de 10:00 à 11:00 en l’église de la paroisse Sainte-Anne, à Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines, suivies des funérailles à 11:00

To Shirley’s Family: Shirley and I were the same age. We were in the same grades. She was such a kind soul. Shirley and Mabe helped me with my FRENCH homework . I believe I got the conjugations of verbs because of their amazing help. I remember going up the hill to their house, watching Television ,going down to visit their grandmother, and talking and eating with the family many,many times. To Mabe, Anita & Robert I offer my heartfelt sympathy. I want you all to know how much love and understanding you gave me. You were truly Great Cousins ! God Bless You!
I Know Shirley is with the LORD ! When I get to the other side …. we’ll have an enormous amount to talk about!
My deepest condolences to both your families& friends for the loss of a very good soul,. My family is related with hers. To Mabe, Anita,& Robert, sorry for your lost. We were all neighbours, friends, and cousins went to school together. She & I are the same age.

Teen friends, 1st cousins, neighbours and so much more. Gentle, kind, trusted friend shared stories, dreams and opinions. A cousin (one of many) walked like me everywhere.: corner store, school, babysitting, and church. She had no fear of making taffy at her kitchen stove. The kind we stretched with our hands. We picked wild berries red and blue from fields and woodland filling containers. On occasion, we even went digging for clams. As a quote from Margaret Atwood’s poem SALT
Don’t look behind, they say:
You’ll turn to salt.
Why not, though? Why not look?
Isn’t it glittery?
Isn’t it pretty, back there?
Those are wonderful times.
